Kogan, Lori, PhD, Assistant Professor - Cohort 2004

Lori Kogan, Ph.D. is licensed psychologist and assistant professor of Clinical Sciences for the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. She earned her MS degree in Experimental Psychology (1998) and her PhD in Counseling Psychology (2002), both at Colorado State University. She is the Outcomes Assessment Coordinator for the College of Veterinary Medicine, as well as an adjunct staff member of the University Counseling Center.

Dr. Kogan provides individual and couples counseling for veterinary students, in addition to her teaching and research interests. She co-teaches a communications course to third year veterinary students, as well as a graduate psychology course. She devotes a great deal of time to the veterinary student Admissions Committee, in addition to other College committees.

Her research interests include outcomes assessment, the human-animal bond, and veterinary medicine and those people attracted to the field
