Patterson, Coretta, DVM, Diplomate ACVIM - Cohort 2007
Coretta Cosby Patterson: I am originally a native of the South side of Chicago. Attended the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana for both undergraduate and veterinary school. I am a graduate of the Class of 1995 from Illinois (CVM). I completed a one-year rotating small animal internship at MSU the year after vet school. I worked in general practice for two years and then at the University of Georgia for two years as the Outpatient clinician. In 2000, I returned to Michigan state University to begin a residency in internal medicine. I completed the residency in 2003 and stayed on as faculty until the present. Along the way, I acquired a husband, Darryll an MD internist. We then acquired Nick who is ten and plays football and basketball, and Logan who is five and enjoys gymnastics and pastel cosmetics. I attended the Bayer training at MSU in the summer of 2007 and found it to be moving and unbelievably utilizable.
